George Washington Statue Boston

The Untimely Death of America  David Christopher, M.H.

The hero of the Revolutionary War, former first President and by certain accounts the most famous man in the world was actively managing his estate and affairs robustly and in good health at the age of 67. On December 12, 1799 George Washington routinely left his home at 10 am and by horseback attended to his beloved Mount Vernon farms until 5 PM. The weather was below freezing and snowing with just 3 inches of snow on the ground.  In this weather, he also helped move a snow-mired carriage near his home. Upon returning he felt a sore throat and developed hoarseness. However, without removing his damp clothes he proceeded to dinner, which was waiting, and then went on to his evening routines. The next day, Friday, although less invigorated due to the possible acquired cold, he marked trees on the property which were to be removed. He then had a pleasant evening and even joked about his worsening hoarseness. Two o’clock Saturday morning he was chilled, could scarcely speak and breathed with difficulty.  In the morning a servant was dispatched to retrieve Dr. Craik and another servant was dispatched for a Mr. Rawlins who was a local bleeder. Mr. Rawlins removed a half pint of blood and then Dr. Craik upon arriving removed another pint of blood and dosed the former President with calomel (a mercury preparation). Two more Doctors arrived and yes removed even more blood and administered more mercury, purgative enemas and blistering plasters. A fourth bleeding was proposed and immediately protested by Dr. Elisha Dick the youngest of the three doctors. However, he was overruled by Dr. James Craik and a Dr. Richard Brown who then bled George Washington a fourth time and of course administered another round of mercury and another toxic chemical, antimony. It is estimated that half of his blood had been removed. By today’s standards that much loss of blood would result in extremely low blood pressure and would require an immediate transfusion along with intensive care. Medical apologists today say that the General died from bacterial epiglottitis and that an emergency tracheotomy would have saved his life. Perhaps we shouldn’t judge those physicians by today’s standards but we can listen to their own words. Two weeks later Dr. Brown had misgivings and in a letter to Dr. Craik said, “If we had taken no more blood from him, our good friend might have been alive now.”  He added, “But we were governed by the best light we had. We thought we were right, and so we are justified.”  A contemporary British physician John Reid sarcastically remarked that the “current of blood” drained from George Washington reflected the currents of American rivers. He then was critical of the heavy dosing of mercury and the administrations of emetics and blistering to a man in his late 60’s.

In retrospect, we should ask if that was the best light available in the 1700s? We do know as a fact that herbalists were present in the 1700s and for that matter in all eras. They were sometimes praised and sometimes ignored. We know that herbalists would have used remedies that were simple such as; lemon grass, rose hips, garlic, and onions that could have saved our beloved leader’s life. The emerging Thompsonian doctors could have relaxed the muscles with Lobelia and applied cayenne to the throat to increase circulation. Perhaps the native population could have provided golden seal with its berberine alkaloid that kills bacteria. It is a fact that there was plenty of light and knowledge available in 1799 that could have been used by the Washington family instead of turning to the popular or mainstream doctors of that day with their blood-letting and poisonous practice. At any rate, the sudden agonizing death of George Washington was untimely and a great loss to his family and countrymen.

STATEMENT FROM PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

As you all know, shortly after 7:00 a.m. this morning, a gunman opened fire on members of Congress and their staffs as they were practicing for tomorrow’s annual charity baseball game.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the crime, and the assailant has now died from his injuries. The FBI is leading the investigation and will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.

Congressman Steve Scalise, a member of House leadership, was shot and badly wounded, and is now in stable condition at the hospital, along with two very courageous Capitol Police officers. At least two others were also wounded.

Many lives would have been lost if not for the heroic actions of the two Capitol Police officers who took down the gunman despite sustaining gunshot wounds during a very, very brutal assault.

Melania and I are grateful for their heroism and praying for the swift recovery of all victims.

Congressman Scalise is a friend, and a very good friend. He’s a patriot and he’s a fighter. He will recover from this assault. And, Steve, I want you to know that you have the prayers not only of the entire city behind you, but of an entire nation and, frankly, the entire world. America is praying for you and America is praying for all of the victims of this terrible shooting.

I spoke with Steve’s wife, Jennifer, and I pledged to her our full and absolute support — anything she needs. We are with her and with the entire Scalise family.

I have also spoken with Chief Matthew Verderosa — he’s doing a fantastic job — of the Capitol Police to express our sympathies for his wounded officers and to express my admiration for their courage. Our brave Capitol Police perform a challenging job with incredible skill, and their sacrifice makes democracy possible.

We also commend the brave first responders from Alexandria Police, Fire and Rescue who rushed to the scene. Everyone on that field is a public servant — our courageous police, our congressional aides who work so tirelessly behind the scenes with enormous devotion, and our dedicated members of Congress who represent our people.

We may have our differences, but we do well, in times like these, to remember that everyone who serves in our nation’s capital is here because, above all, they love our country.

We can all agree that we are blessed to be Americans, that our children deserve to grow up in a nation of safety and peace, and that we are strongest when we are unified and when we work together for the common good.

Please take a moment today to cherish those you love, and always remember those who serve and keep us safe. God bless them all, God bless you, and God Bless America. Thank you.

White House Memo

In order to restore the public confidence in the FBI, President Donald J. Trump accepted the recommendation of both Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions and removed FBI Director James Comey from his position yesterday. It was a necessary move to reinstitute faith in America’s crown jewel of law enforcement after a series of high profile and political missteps. The search for new leadership that restores public trust and confidence in the FBI’s vital law enforcement mission will begin immediately.

Body Clock Mishelle Knuteson, M.H.

Classic alarm clock with pink flowers and grass
I really don’t like the time of year when the time change comes along, especially when we “spring forward” in time. I really wish they would leave it alone. It seems like it takes me a week or more to feel normal again. Why would just an hour shift in time affect me so much? Just an hour can throw our body rhythms off and it takes time to reset them. Body rhythm….it is a real thing and is called circadian rhythm.

Circadian rhythms are physical, mental and emotional behavior changes that follow a 24-hour cycle. These rhythms have a direct link to light and are found in most living things. Circadian rhythms determine sleep and eating patterns of all animals and human beings. There are clear patterns of brain wave activity, hormone production, cell regeneration and other biological activities linked to the daily cycle. There is a natural ebb and flow in our energy throughout the day that is oftentimes controlled by an area in the brain that responds to light and dark.

In Chinese medicine it is referred to as the body-energy clock, where Qi (energy) moves in two hour intervals through the body organ system. During sleep, the Qi is drawn inward to restore the body and during the day the Qi moves outward to assist in the bodily functions such as digestion and elimination. Lungs are at their peak in the early morning, which is why it is best to schedule your exercise at that time of day rather than later. Also active in the morning hours is our large intestine. To stay with the body’s natural rhythm of this, I like to start my day by drinking a detox tea in the morning. One of my favorite detox drinks (especially in the spring/summer) is CCF tea (Coriander, Cumin, and Fennel). I boost it with some green tea along with adding 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice or 1 tsp of Sole (saltwater – pronounced solay). The liver stores and cleanses blood as well as hormones and our emotions. The liver is at its peak between 1 am – 3 am which is the time when we are most often in our deepest sleep and the body and mind is the calmest.

A lot more goes on within our bodies during the 24 hour time cycle than we are most likely aware of and this is why even an one hour shift of time can throw us off for a bit. It is important for our health to choose lifestyle habits that help us synchronize our body systems to the ebb and flow of energy.  A couple of tips to keep or reset our body clock during a time change, travel and to just be in the flow of the natural rhythm of the body are:

  1. Follow the sun ~ In the morning open the shades and let the light in. This will help you get moving in the morning. Get as much light during the day as possible. At night as you are bringing your energy down ready for sleep, dim the lights. Try to keep out light in the room you sleep in, as much as possible.
  2. Adjust your activity levels ~ During the morning and day allow those to be your most active times. Wind down and take it easy the closer it gets to sleep time. That means electronics as well. Read, write or do other calming activities just before lights out.
  3. Adjust meal schedule ~Eat your largest meals during the morning and afternoon. This is when your digestive organs are naturally at their peak. Eating a big meal before bed often leaves you with a heavy feeling and it makes the body work harder during its resting time.
  4. Adjust your mind ~ Don’t sleep in. There really is no catching up on sleep. The body functions better when we stick with a habitual schedule as much as possible. If you have to get up in the dark, then use bright lighting as you prepare your day. If you have to sleep while it is still light, block out as much light as possible.

Just a few simple changes can make a big difference in adjusting and honoring your body’s natural rhythms.

How to Make Sole (Solay)

water and Himalayan salt
Ingredients:

  • Glass jar with a plastic lid (wide mouth mason jar works great)
  • 1-2 cups of Himalayan salt, Celtic Salt or real salt. (You can also use 2-3 big rocks of Himalayan salt)
  • Filtered water

Instructions:

  1. Fill the jar about ¼ way with the salt of your choice, or a combination of salts. If you are using the rock salt, place 2-3 in the jar.
  2. Add filtered water to fill the jar leaving about an inch headspace at the top.
  3. Put lid on and shake the jar to mix it up. If using the rock no need to shake the jar.
  4. Leave on the counter overnight to allow the salt to dissolve.
  5. The next day, if there is still salt on the bottom of the jar, the water has absorbed its maximum. Sole is ready to use.
  6. If all the salt is absorbed, add more salt and continue doing so each day until some remains. This means that the water is fully saturated with the salt.

Notes:
To use: Mix 1 tsp of Sole into a glass of water and consume every morning on an empty stomach. No need to add more. Do not use any metal object with the Sole.
Store the Sole mixture at room temperature. It will last indefinitely. Salt is naturally a preservative. More water and salt can be added as needed to keep the amount up in the jar.

David Christopher, M.H.

                 California Screaming

Doctor with syringe in hands and US states flags on background series - California
During the presidential nomination debates, Gov. Rick Perry said that he couldn’t be bought by Big Pharma for $250,000.  For a mere $90,000 Big Pharma instead bought Dr. Richard Pan, a legislator from California.  Pan gave Big Pharma more bang for their buck. He essentially assured them customers for life, cradle to grave, by force of the government of California through S.B. 277.  This bill puts California in line with the two “forward thinking” states of West Virginia and Mississippi in eliminating the personal exemption for vaccinations. Pan also blazed the way for Dr. Peter Hotez.  Hotez, under the guise of being compassionate, is calling on the U.S. government and world governments in the G20 to wage war on American parents defending exemptions in vaccine laws in his article in Scientific American (March 3, 2017).  He also advocates that those concerned parents who disagree with him should be “snuffed out” which means, “to make extinct, put an end to, kill, execute” according to Mirriam Webster.

No one should be surprised with these American Benedict Arnolds who are responsible along with their medical cohorts for the deaths of thousands of babies who are sacrificed for the “good of the whole.” They actually believe that vaccines are protecting millions of American children from dreaded childhood diseases.  However, they cannot prove any lives are saved let alone millions of lives. Neither can the incredulous Dr. Paul Offit who declares that vaccine injuries are a myth and that you can safely inject 10,000 vaccines into a child at once. The truth is that neither Offit nor anyone can prove three vaccines administered together are safe. In fact, studies done by the CDC that is in the congressional record show that they are not safe.  If Offit or anyone else could prove that these mercury-laden vaccines are safe, then why haven’t they collected the $100,000 reward offered by Robert Kennedy Jr. and Robert De Niro?  This reward is available to anyone who can produce one medical study that proves the safety of mercury laced vaccines. Obviously, Dr. Offit hasn’t done the research necessary to back up his claim that vaccine injuries are a myth. We have, however, and the 4 billion dollars paid out to vaccine victim’s families is a matter of public record.  It is also a matter of record how many families of vaccine damaged children are denied compensation. The published injury and death facts don’t even scratch the surface of mayhem perpetrated on the American public by lying physicians like Dr. Offit who convince parents that the vaccines administered had nothing to do with the death and injury of their children.

None of this will change until the 1986 vaccine legislation that shields Big Pharma from litigation is reversed and manufacturers, pharmacists, and doctors are held accountable for their actions.
For more depth on this subject that can’t be covered in a newsletter article please follow the link to this presentation by the Director of National Vaccine Information Center.

Mushroom Barley Pilaf
Prep Time: 10 minutes  Cook Time: 40 minutes  Total Time: 50 minutes
Mushroom-Barley-Pilaf-3
Ingredients

  • 12 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 ounces shiitake mushrooms, stemmed and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup diced yellow onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pearl barley
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 1/2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh thyme, roughly chopped
  • Zest from 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Dry sauté the mushrooms by adding them to a large sauté pan and cooking them over medium-high heat. Cook the mushrooms for about 4 to 5 minutes, until they start releasing their liquids, stirring frequently. Transfer the mushrooms and juices to a bowl. Wipe down the pan.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in the pan over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the onion and salt, and cook for about 2 minutes, until the onion begins to soften. Add the barley and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Add the garlic and stir everything for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until the garlic is fragrant.
  3. Add the mushrooms and their juices into the pan, then stir in the vegetable broth and thyme. Raise heat and bring the broth to boil. Reduce the heat a little so that the broth is simmering. Cover the pot, and let the barley cook for 25 to 30 minutes, until the broth has been fully absorbed and the barley is tender. Remove from heat and let the barley sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the lemon zest and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve.

Disillusioned Trump voters: Just relax

Posted By Mychal Massie On 05/01/2017 @ 7:46 pm In APP Frontpage,Commentary,Opinion

There is a cacophony of complaints being directed at President Trump. Some are upset because he has retained certain members of the Obama administration whose loyalty to America is doubtful. Some are upset because as I write this there has yet to be a repeal of Obamacare; nor has there been a complete draining of the swamp as evidenced by the continued presence of the Democrat “bagman” Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, whose treachery far exceeds that of Speaker John Boehner before him

There is a cacophony of complaints being directed at President Trump. Some are upset because he has retained certain members of the Obama administration whose loyalty to America is doubtful. Some are upset because as I write this there has yet to be a repeal of Obamacare; nor has there been a complete draining of the

There are those who are upset because it appears the president has backed off his promise to build the wall. There are those who are upset because he appears to have broken his word with regard to the bombing of Syria.

My suggestion is that everyone who claims to have supported President Trump’s historic election and who are now complaining that he is letting them down to take a deep breath and relax.

The president has not let us down. He has done more to stop the government from interfering in the lives of Americans in his first 100 days than any other president in history. He has accomplished more in his first 100 days than any other president since Franklin Roosevelt. (See a complete list of President Trump’s accomplishments in his first 100 days.)

Let me preface my remaining thoughts with this. Those who are familiar with my work know that I am not an ideologue. I no longer support the Republican Party as such; I support the president and certain congressional Republicans. I’ve held this position since the second term of President George W. Bush. My reasons for said position were evidenced as the so-called Republican Party did everything in its power to undermine the candidate of our choice.

With that in mind, I continue by pointing out that “you cannot reach a factual conclusion when you don’t know what you don’t know.” Many people watch cable news programming and/or listen to talk programming and believe that makes them informed.

In a perfect world that “might” be true, but ours is not a perfect world. It is important to understand that the majority of those on talk programming know nothing more than the public; they are just better at feigning they do. Additionally, leftist anarchist groups are spending tens of millions upon tens of millions of dollars for the express purpose of promoting fake news stories intended to disillusion and erode the president’s support.

They purpose not only to damage President Trump in the short term, but to prevent him from gaining seats in Congress in the off-year elections and weaken him for his re-election bid in 2020.

Trump is fighting anarchist groups, and he is also fighting members of his own party like Paul Ryan, Lindsey Graham, John McCain and a plethora of others, including the shadowy wraiths who did their best to prevent him from winning the nomination and the presidency.

He is also battling the courts, which are filled with activist judges appointed by Obama. These judges are undermining the president’s efforts to protect Americans from terrorists and to protect American taxpayers from illegal aliens who are receiving taxpayer benefits in sanctuary cities despite their heinous crimes.

President Trump is not a conventional politician. In fact he is not a politician at all. He is a successful businessman who understands how to create, build and get things done ahead of schedule and under budget.

Politicians lie and mislead us, take and misuse our money, and make promises they have no intentions of keeping.

As I said: “It [is] my opinion that Trump is a pragmatist. He sees a problem and understands it must be fixed. He doesn’t see the problem as liberal or conservative, he sees it only as a problem. That is a quality that should be admired and applauded, not condemned.” (Trump: A pragmatist, not a conservative,” Jan, 18, 2016)

I support the president, fully expecting him to do some things with which I will disagree. But I have every confidence that they will not be things that go against my orthodoxy. Only God does not disappoint.

President Trump is confronted with the incestuous cabal of Erebusic political marplots committed to making his presidency a failure. Paul Ryan et al. were more congenial and vote-favorable to Obama than they are to President Trump.

There are those who only voted for Trump to keep Hillary Clinton from winning. Ergo, I expect them to find fault with him. There are those who “do not know what they don’t know” and believe the drone of hysteria and fake-news lies being manufactured. Then there are those who complain as soon as things do not go exactly as promised.

I suggest we consider what the president has been able to accomplish in 100 days despite the relentless opposition he has faced. President Trump needs and deserves our support and trust. At such time that he ceases to warrant same, I will be at the front of the line condemning his actions.

I would like to congratulate WND on its 20th anniversary. WND is an indisputable example of what can be accomplished when we dare to dream.

Founder and CEO Joseph Farah had a dream that he placed at the feet of our Lord. That dream sought by prayer is today one of the most informative and game-changing Internet newspapers in the world.

I am honored and proud to be associated with such and outstanding group of editors and staff working behind the scenes. I am even more honored to be associated with one of the finest collection of columnists and investigative reporters in the industry today.

Should the Lord tarry, I would wish WND another 20 years that exceed anything Mr. Farah and his staff can dream and/or think.

Congratulations, WND. Happy 20th Anniversary.
